How to play safely in children playgrounds?

Amusement parks and playrooms are usually associated with fun, fun times, lots of excitement, cool moments with friends, frolicking and fun adventures. Time spent in amusement parks is sure to be wonderful and full of good emotions if we keep in mind the daily, common and important safety rules related to exercise, eating, safe behaviour and vigilance. We invite you to take a look at the important tips for safe play in children's playrooms.

  1. Please ensure that you are dressed appropriately when visiting an amusement park, playroom or attraction. It should not restrict movement and it is good not to squeeze. If you are going to be involved in activities with inflatable trampolines or slides, we recommend that you dress your children in long trousers (slingshots).
  2. The fewer accessories "on the child" the better and safer: pins, watch, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, hairband, wallet in pocket. If possible, leave these items in lockers. It really hurts when you bump into a 'pin'. Really!
  3. Avoid going to an amusement park if you are overfed or overeating. The same applies, by the way, to the swimming pool or sauna. The body gets heavy and there is a risk of nausea.
  4. Eating and drinking should only take place in designated areas. Do not bring food to entertainment. You don't see this message in amusement parks because the owners are afraid of crumbs. Food and entertainment at the same time is a very high risk of choking. So have a drink or refreshment at the café tables and stay safe.
  5. Avoid nuts, chips, chewing gum (choking can happen) and drinks in glass containers (can break and injure you and others) at amusement parks.
  6. If you are in an indoor amusement park, it is advisable to wear socks with non-slip soles - "with brakes" as mothers say. You will avoid slipping injuries.
  7. Before more serious physical activity, do a warm-up and start at an easy pace, gradually building up to it.
  8. When going to play activities, critically assess the environment in which the children are going to play - whether there may be equipment that is not age-appropriate for the child (in terms of height, ergonomics and movement). Entertain in spaces that are age-appropriate. And be sure to listen to the staff. If it were possible, children would be allowed anywhere and everywhere. But there are rules in the name of safety.
  9. When you go to any amusement park, agree with your child on the conditions of play. Make sure you agree where you will meet if you get lost.
  10. Parents should regularly check where their child is, what he/she is doing and what he/she is doing at the amusement park. Caution never hurts.
  11. Leave unnecessary items in lockers when having fun (you won't need your mobile phone on the trampoline and jumping can cause injuries). If your child wears glasses, do you really need them for fun?
  12. If the child has a medical condition (e.g. heart), check that the exertion is appropriate.
  13. If you leave your child at an amusement park, or if there is a chance of getting lost in the crowds, make sure you write down your phone number (on your child's wristband, on a piece of paper put in your child's pocket, or on your child's stomach). This is especially important in foreign countries where the child may not understand the language.
  14. If you notice anything suspiciously unsafe, a broken toy, a protruding nail or an amusement that raises suspicions, be sure to inform the park staff. Do not be indifferent. Even if it seems like "they must have seen it", it's better to say it a second time. For everyone's safety.

These recommendations are for everyone, everywhere. At ADVENTICA Family Amusement Park, we, for our part, follow them as well. We invite you to do so too.

Let's have fun safely. Everything is a game!
